The NW Deanery School of Psychiatry has reviewed and improved the ARCP process for 2011. There are changes to the Educational Supervisor and Training Programme Director forms, and a trainee "checklist" has been introduced. Further details can be found here

 

The Trainee Doctor consolidates the foundation and specialty including GP standards for training, and incorporates the standards for deaneries. There is now one set of standards for all postgraduate medical education and training, from the Foundation Programme to the award of a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT), published in one document, The Trainee Doctor (pdf).

Training the Trainers Courses are available, twice a year. These are for new consultants, or for consultants new to the NW Deanery. Consultants with existing clinical supervisor competencies need to attend this one day course in order to become educational supervisors. School of Psychiatry QM matrix
This can now be downloaded as an Excel spreadsheet. The spreadsheed is uses filters to include and exclude relevant items. In most circumstances, filters for PMETB and College should be left on. By filtering for a role "e.g. Tutor", a form can be generated for local audit <read more...>
